Jamie J. Clapham
Physical Therapist, Rapid City School Board Member
Jamie has been a physical therapist for 19 years. She earned a bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise science at Furman University and earned her Master of Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia.
As a physical therapist, Jamie helps people move, heal, and regain strength after injuries or illness. She has worked in four different states and treated patients across the lifespan from tiny premature babies to a wise 103-year-old! Her main areas of interest are working with people with brain and nerve injuries/disorders and caring for older adults.
Jamie also loves serving her community. She has been a member of the Rapid City School Board since 2022 and has helped lead the Black Hawk Elementary PTA since 2019. For the past 10 years, she has spoken at the Women in Science Conference, encouraging girls to explore careers in science. She also serves as a regional director for the Associated School Boards of South Dakota.
