Emily Graslie
Emily Graslie was born and raised in Rapid City, South Dakota and obtained a BFA in painting from the University of Montana in 2011. Toward the end of her degree she became involved in the campus natural history museum, and began investing herself in its day-to-day activities. Using the skills obtained from her art degree, Graslie publicized the work and collections on a blog -- and a few years later, turned to online educational videos with her new channel, The Brain Scoop.Today, she is the Chief Curiosity Correspondent for The Field Museum in Chicago, and continues to write and host the program from this new location. Powered by enthusiasm towards scientific discoveries, Graslie uses the bi-weekly show and a variety of digital media to share the wonderful inner and outer workings of natural history museums with passionate learners from all over the world.
